1    RoadSafety club  

            School safety  club is a proven and effective road safety programme , with a focus in helping parents cares , teach their children how to keep safe when out and about in a fun way. As a member of club children are equipped with materials to help them learn life saving messages .

2    Quiz Club

          Quiz club organizes daily quiz programme for students and teachers. Questions are displayed on bulletin boards of houses and seek answers to the questions in everyday morning  assembly. Every week we conduct Quiz in the common assembly and reward the winners to encourage them to perform better. Further more, it  inspire other students too to perform better. This will motivate the students to acquire knowledge about current affairs.

  3    Maths Club

Maths club plays an important role in motivating students to learn mathematics with interest and involvement. Club provides excellent opportunities to students to break away from class rooms teaching to rigid and structures class room environment which is informal in nature. Students chose their own activities and pass them in a free and relaxed manner. Club provides a lot of freedom of expression for students and it supplements classroom learning.

Need and importance

It provides the habit of self study and independent walk among students. It helps the child in proper utilization of leisure time with some purposeful activities. It provides a less formal environment of study as compared to usual classroom teaching. It helps in developing problem solving attitude among the students.Every year we organize mathematical exhibition , fairs and classes b resource persons. 

4   Arts Club

Arts club provides students with the chance to participate in an extra curricular activity that, not only allows them to express themselves, but also to grow as an individual. Most people would agree that music and art programs in schools have a huge impact on students not only academically, but in just about every aspect of their lives. Studies have shown that students who are involved in music and art programs have an overall higher IQ and show signs of many other academic benefits. Participating in such programs also allow students the opportunity to express themselves artistically and show the world their  hidden potential.

Every year our school conduct Arts Festival under the responsibility of Arts Club and give chance to each and every student to participate in any item and distribute prizes and certificates for winners. Toppers will get the opportunity to participate in the next levels of competitions. 

5    Science Club

The scientific and technological advancement of today is a long forward journey from stone age. The science club in schools provide proper incentive and inspiration for the pursuit of scientific knowledge in rigorous way by broadening their scientific outlook. It helps in imbibing the habit of self reliance, self dependence and love for manual work.

The science club in Santom Public School is a properly organized one and it is a valuable aid to teach science and also a means of motivating the children for learning science. Every year we organize lectures, debates , seminars , symposia and exhibitions. Our Science Club activities mainly directed to the development of psychomotor skills.

6   IT Club

The  mission of IT  club is to promote knowledge of Information Technology through seminars, workshops, websites of data and also to organize training skills. In school ,the club benefits children in a number of ways. When children are involved in such clubs they establish job skills that they will need in their future. Children also remain up-to-speed in ever progressing world of technology. IT club members can take part in variety of computer activities such as creating presentations, digital photography, website designing etc. We teach children in the IT club to use social media in a positive way.

7    Literary Club

The club offers a completing platform for the thurst for knowledge in students . It promises to cultivate a passion for quizzing, debating , creative writing , literature , Elocution etc: .. among the students.

Aim

•      To develop self-efficacy  and confidence and would help to enhance the general knowledge base .
•      Works in tandem to benefit students in the disciplines of writing and speaking  by conducting events that are both instructional and enjoyable.
•      To sharpen and develop excellent communication skills.

Objectives

•       To analyze issues and come up with solutions.
•        To build their confidence to act and behave among all.
•        Develop organization skills and persuasive skills.
•        To work in a global community by teaching them about social ,  political and moral issues.
•        To increase daily awareness and  helps boost positive habits like reading and independent research.

8    Social Science Club

Social science club aims at making children capable of becoming useful members of the society. Santom Public School has an active social science club. Its activities started with school parliament election . We cunduct important historical days in a grant way. We have an archive in the school with collected coins and historical monuments.

9     Health and Nature club

 “Only a healthy body can build a healthy mind”

The health and nature club aims at inculcating general awareness among students about a healthy relationship with Mother nature to the better future and survival of mankind. By creating awareness on global environmental challenges and developing means to overcome them. By organizing various eco-friendly activities , conducting botanical excursions and plantation programmes , organising workshops and seminars on environment concern issues. This club is a voluntary group comprising of students and teachers which promotes participation of students in learning about and working towards the conservation and sustainability of their environment.

10    Sports club

Santom Public School provides the student who has their flair for sports should be given perfect coaching so that they can be the stars of tomorrow. We have full fledged facilities for Football, Kho-kho, Throwball, Badminton, Chess, Cricket, Volleyball etc. We have spacious grounds for athletic training and well trained physical education teacher.
